Food Security for South Sudan

As the results of a historic referendum in Southern Sudan were announced on January 31 effectively declaring independence from the north after decades of hostilities, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is continuing the implementation of a multi-year project to provide better health, nutrition and empowerment to more than half a million vulnerable people.

OFDA Grant Awarded

ADRA has been awarded a $135,000 grant by the Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) to continue assisting persons affected by the recent devastating mudslides in Brazil. The grant will further ADRA’s current work of delivering aid to survivors in some of the worst hit area

The recent post-election violence in the West African nation of Côte d’Ivoire, which has left more than 250 dead and forced thousands to flee their homes to escape the political crisis and inter-ethnic clashes, has prompted the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) to begin delivering food aid to hundreds of displaced families

Flooding in Brazil

ADRA Continues Aid to Serbian Earthquake Survivors

ADRA is continuing its response following an earthquake that shook the city of Kraljevo, Serbia. The violent quake significantly damaged hundreds of buildings and houses, displacing thousands of families and injuring more than 500 people.
