About the Emergency

ADRA is stepping up emergency efforts to assist communities in Pakistan affected by recent monsoonal rains in the country. More than 33 million people have been impacted by the unprecedented amount of heavy rainfall and resulting floods. At least 1,500 deaths have been reported and millions are without homes in the Sindh, Baluchistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa regions.

ADRA’s Response

  • Immediate emergency food distribution for more than 1,000 people
  • Plans for safe drinking water distribution points using high-volume water filtration unit
  • Continued assessments in accessible communities to determine additional needs
  • Putting focus on women and children who are most vulnerable in disasters and displacement situations
