Fleeing War

Life is normal. Routine. Easy to understand. One day a bomb goes off near your house. Then another one. You take a backpack and the hand of a loved one and you flee. Strangers in vests ask if you want a free seat on the bus. It will take you to safety. You climb on board and cross the border and leave your country behind. When will you return? Where will you go? For millions fleeing Ukraine, and other war-torn countries, those are the questions without easy answers. You follow the path before you. You hope one day it leads back home.
