Dear ADRA Family,
This Sabbath marks the 30th day of our Daily Hope series. For the last month, we have endeavored to bring a little light into your lives during these dark times. If even one of you smiled, or reached out to a loved one, or praised God as a result of these stories, it has all been worth it.
This message marks the end of our daily stories, but not the end of our messages of hope, or our continuous work to fight the disastrous effects of the COVID-19 crisis. In fact, it is because of those ongoing efforts that we are slowing down the messages of hope to focus more on our actions of hope.
Right now, ADRA is working to fight COVID-19 in a number of countries around the world: supplying healthy food and supplements to nursing home staff and residents in Slovenia, supporting the deaf in Mexico, feeding refugees in Uganda, disseminating important health information in Ecuador, and more.
But for those of you who want to remain connected with messages of hope and updates about our work around the world, worry not! Throughout the duration of this crisis, we will provide regular updates, stories, messages, and prayers.
In addition, we will be ramping up our new campaign: Good Goes Viral (#goodgooesviral). If you don’t know by now, this campaign is an opportunity to connect with the entire ADRA family directly, right from your home. All you have to do is share a photo or video of how you are doing good during this crisis, with the hashtag #GoodGoesViral. Be sure to check out our social media for examples and ideas, then join the community with a message of your own.
Thank you all for your continued support—prayers, donations, and good deeds. The world needs as much of that as we can get.
This Sabbath, let’s all focus on prayer. Please take a moment today, whether alone or with family, online or off, and say a prayer during these difficult times. Pray for those who are sick, those who are grieving, those who are on the frontlines, and those who have lost everything. Don’t forget to praise God, too, even as we suffer.
Let’s end with the Bible verse that started this whole 30-day Daily Hope, one that is as hopeful as it is simple.
Proverbs 23:18: “Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.”
May God bless you all
