Dear ADRA family,

This Sabbath, enjoy peace and connection, both in words and in music. This recent poem by Lynn Ungar expresses hope in a time of distress. And after you read the poem, enjoy the beautiful choral arrangement of her words performed by singers performing apart, but not alone. Happy Sabbath, and may God bless all of you.

Pandemic

What if you thought of it
as the Jews consider the Sabbath—
the most sacred of times?
Cease from travel.
Cease from buying and selling.
Give up, just for now,
on trying to make the world
different than it is.
Sing. Pray. Touch only those
to whom you commit your life.
Center down.
