Деятельность ADRA в Южном Судане продолжается

ADRA South Sudan’s distribution of emergency food is ongoing, with an estimate of 631 households receiving food packs as of early August.

В каждый продовольственный набор входит полный рацион из 25 кг (55 фунтов) риса, 5 кг (11 фунтов) бобов, 3 литров масла и 250 мг соли.

Hunger is a major issue as food prices in the country continue to rise. Amazingly, South Sudan currently has the highest cost of living in the world with most citizens having low purchasing power. Food inflation stands at 374 % based on the Bureau of Statistics.

Cholera is also a rising concern in the area, with 133 cases and 3 deaths reported in Juba County. ADRA is collaborating with several health organizations in response to the outbreak in addition to the routine primary health care services.

No internally displaced persons (IDPs) remain on the Seventh-day Adventist Church compound in Juba at this time.
