In Brazil, love showed up — restoring mobility, dignity, and hope.
Through ADRA-supported volunteers, discarded wheelchairs and mobility aids were repaired and placed back into the hands of people who needed them most. What once felt out of reach became possible again: going to school, attending church, traveling to medical appointments, and moving through daily life with confidence.
For Nilcilene, who relied on a broken borrowed chair, receiving a restored wheelchair meant more than mobility.
“ADRA brought me back hope,” she shared.
With the support of local volunteers and young missionaries, more than 200 people have regained freedom of movement — and the ability to move forward with dignity.

Love Responds
Along the migration corridor in Colombia, love showed up — meeting a need often overlooked.
During follow-up visits to ADRA’s mobile health unit and food vehicle, teams noticed families sharing their limited food with the pets who provide comfort, security, and emotional support during an uncertain journey.
These loyal companions often went days without proper nutrition. In response, ADRA collaborators launched a simple but powerful initiative.
Today, bags of dog and cat food are delivered daily through ADRA’s food vehicle — helping families care for their companions and continue forward with dignity and peace of mind.
