Education is one of our favorite ways to change the world, and we know it’s a favorite for our supporters as well. In 2021 alone, we were able to serve close to 550,000 students together with 179 education projects around the world!

Education in Emergencies

Children from countries in crisis have likely lost loved ones and homes in addition to losing their sense of safety and security. When access to education is interrupted, these children are also at risk of losing their futures.

Ensuring children in emergencies have access to quality education is a way to provide them a lifeline when they need it most. In addition to giving them strengthened hope for the future, education also provides consistency, a sense of normalcy, and even physical safety in some cases.

As you can imagine, the COVID-19 pandemic has made the situation worse for these vulnerable children. But thanks to your donations to ADRA’s COVID-19 match campaign in 2021, we have launched projects in four countries that are focused on supporting education in emergencies and ensuring that children are able to get back on track!
