ADRA’s education programs offer formal and non-formal education, technical training, e advocacy to create safe, supportive learning environments that empower impoverished individuals, especially for marginalized groups like girls, ethnic minorities, and children with disabilities.

We equip learners with essential literacy and numeracy skills, and provide quality materials, trained teachers, and targeted assessments. ADRA advocates to drive policy change and ensure access to education for all through initiatives like the “Todas as crianças. Em todo o lado. Na escola.” campaign, which also addresses financial constraints, retention, and crisis management barriers.

Non-Formal Education (NFE) programs help children re-enter school or pursue vocational paths, integrating life skills, technology, and child protection mechanisms.  Educação em situações de emergência (EiE) programs prioritize safe, learning spaces and incorporate psychosocial support and disaster risk reduction elements that benefit displaced and vulnerable children in crisis settings.

Through the Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) and Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET), ADRA equips youth and adults with life skills and market-relevant expertise, fostering employment and community engagement. Additionally, ADRA ensures children with disabilities receive quality education by improving school facilities, equipping teachers with inclusive education skills, and providing tools and materials suitable for diverse learning needs.
