Querida familia de ADRA,
Aquí en Estados Unidos, los pájaros nos recuerdan que es primavera. Las flores florecen, de los árboles brotan nuevas ramas y los pájaros lo cantan todo.
Birds also serve as a reminder of God’s love for us. In Matthew, we are told to “look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
These valuable little reminders of divine love seem to be singing loudly today, the day we celebrate Jesus as our savior.
Spring is a season of rebirth—life and promise after the grey skies of winter—and no day expresses that better than Easter, the day the Lord rose from the grave. Reflect on what Jesus says to Martha, as she goes through her own winter of sorrow with the death of her brother, Lazarus:
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
The same question applies to all of us. Do you believe this?
Today, think not about the fear of death or pandemic. Think instead of the promise of life. And if you forget, let the birds remind you.
