L'histoire de Mariam

My name is Mariam, I am widowed with 2 young-aged kids, I come from Haïdara-wèrè and I originally speak the Tamasheq language, my mother-tongue.

Due to conflicts in the area, my family and I had to leave our village and relocated to ATTbougou’s camp in segou. Being away from home, it was much more harder to care for the family’s needs.

Thanks to ADRA, I have been taught a new skill, soap-making. The soap sales have been of help in catering for the immediate needs of the family. Today, soap-making has made myself and other ladies in the camp busy. It is a skill that I will assuredly be able to benefit from for the rest of my days. I thank ADRA and its donors for such compassion towards us.
