Kruger, who initially joined ADRA in 2014 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) before accepting the role as President in 2020, has been pivotal in strengthening the agency\u2019s impact, as well as solidifying ADRA\u2019s commitment to following Christ\u2019s example of serving with justice, compassion, and love. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under his leadership, ADRA implemented a new strategic framework for its network and increased its focus on innovative global initiatives while continuing to provide lifesaving aid and long-term development support to millions in communities worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ADRA came through some of the most challenging periods in the organization’s history, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing humanitarian response to the conflict in Ukraine, with Kruger\u2019s steady leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kruger will be taking on a new role as Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Adventist Healthcare White Oak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geoffrey Mbwana, ADRA Board Member and General Vice President, General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, expressed gratitude for Kruger\u2019s leadership and service:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMichael has been a steadfast leader and a true servant to ADRA\u2019s mission. His commitment to ADRA\u2019s work has ensured that millions of people in need have received hope and assistance. While we are sad to see him go, we respect his decision and wish him the very best in his next chapter. We are grateful that he will continue to serve within the Adventist ministry at Adventist Healthcare White Oak, and we look forward to seeing where God leads him next. As we move forward, we are confident that ADRA will find the right person to lead us into the future. To our dedicated staff, I want to assure you that your work and mission are valued, and I believe in the incredible impact you continue to make in communities around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting on his time at ADRA, Kruger shared his appreciation for the agency and its team:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cServing with ADRA has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I have been deeply blessed to work alongside such a dedicated and compassionate team, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to ADRA\u2019s mission. Though I am stepping away, I have no doubt that God will continue to guide and bless this organization. To my colleagues, partners, and the many supporters of ADRA, thank you for your unwavering commitment to serving humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ADRA will soon begin the search for a new president, ensuring a smooth transition in leadership. In the meantime, the organization remains steadfast in its mission to provide sustainable, community-driven solutions to some of the world\u2019s most pressing challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
