Sex trafficking sting operations have resulted in arrests during the 2023 Super Bowl in Arizona and the 2019 NCAA Men&#8217;s Basketball Tournament Final Four in Minneapolis, resulting in the release of 28 victims, including a minor. Furthermore, law enforcement investigations indicate that the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Founder has been the subject of a federal sex trafficking probe since 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The United Nations reports a considerable increase in the number of victims of human trafficking, with over 115,000 identified globally in 2022. For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Notice people who are estranged from family, friends, and the community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pay attention to persons who live in poor conditions and have physical injuries such as burns, bruises, and cuts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify&nbsp;individuals who&nbsp;may be refused access to food, water, or medical care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep an eye out&nbsp;for&nbsp;people who appear afraid or submissive and are controlled by someone else.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be cautious of online scammers who promise high-paying modeling jobs or other opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Block and unfriend anyone who harasses or sends inappropriate messages on social media and take screenshots as evidence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid oversharing photos and personal information on social media since traffickers can recruit and track potential victims.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recognize gang affiliation&nbsp;symbols, as traffickers use tattoos to mark&nbsp;victims.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report any suspicious activities to authorities and be familiar with&nbsp;local human trafficking hotlines to get help.
