We are here to continue supporting vulnerable families, frontline healthcare professionals, and individuals affected by this pandemic,\u201d says Michael Kruger, ADRA\u2019s president.&nbsp;\u201cOur offices are working with thousands of volunteers and trusted partners to ensure those impacted receive the life-saving essentials, health information, food, hygiene supplies, and cash vouchers to overcome and recover from the COVID-19 disaster.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ADRA has scaled up emergency operations and adapted its\ndisaster relief infrastructure in more than 120 countries to respond to the\ndiverse needs of the coronavirus outbreak. Emergency relief activities range\nfrom food distribution and security, health communication training for\nfrontline workers, shipments of medical supplies to hospitals serving\nvulnerable communities, prevention awareness efforts, to cash assistance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See ADRA\u2019s global response tracker:<strong> <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/adra.org\/ru\/adra-provides-hope-during-coronavirus\/\">https:\/\/adra.org\/adra-provides-hope-during-coronavirus<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u041d\u0430 \u0441\u0430\u0439\u0442\u0435&nbsp;<strong>the U.S. and the Caribbean<\/strong>, ADRA is providing personal protective equipment (PPE) and essential medical supplies&nbsp;to thousands of health workers&nbsp;in suburban medical centers caring for COVID-19&nbsp; patients,&nbsp;including Loma Linda University Health in California, and Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center in Maryland&nbsp;where&nbsp;protective equipment is in short supply and orders can take up to 30 days to be delivered. In Pakistan more than 11,400 daily wage workers affected by the lock-down are also receiving cash transfers, and in Thailand, nearly 1,500 people in 9 refugee camps are receiving hygiene kits. Additionally, ADRA&nbsp;is working with&nbsp;Spanish&nbsp;government&nbsp;authorities&nbsp;to provide shelter and essential services to the homeless.&nbsp;In Belgium,&nbsp;ADRA&nbsp;is preparing and distributing food to several homeless shelters and dozens of migrants in Brussels. In&nbsp;neighboring&nbsp;France, 1,700 vulnerable families, migrants and refugees are also receiving cash vouchers to buy urgent necessities.&nbsp;ADRA&nbsp;in&nbsp;Montenegro is distributing food packages and hygiene kits to hundreds of elderly and isolated residents and single parents who lost jobs&nbsp;due to COVID-19. We are taking advantage of our infrastructure, personnel, and trust of the communities we support to deliver aid promptly.&nbsp; We have also adapted to new regulations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our staff, volunteers, and clients.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Seventh-day Adventist Church has been a key ally in the majority of these projects as it has provided support through its network of hospitals, television and radio broadcast facilities, and\u00a0thousands of volunteers.\u00a0ADRA has also joined forces with\u00a0other\u00a0partner organizations, such as\u00a0Airlink, Hong Kong Adventist Hospital,\u00a0AdventHealth, and World Vision China, to continue to deliver medical supplies\u00a0and other resources to hospitals and healthcare facilities to assist affected communities.
