He and his team are among those\ncontinuing to respond to needs during this global health crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNew Zealand is now heading in to its\nfourth week of a nation-wide lockdown. All businesses other than those\nconsidered essential are closed. ADRA continues to serve vulnerable communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I opened the door and found a woman\nstanding outside in the dark.&nbsp; She asked if\nour family had a spare blanket for her.&nbsp; I\nsensed she was uncomfortable asking a stranger for help, but her need was\ngreater than any reservations she might have had.&nbsp; I was grateful to be able to offer her a\nblanket along with some food. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New Zealand is now heading into winter and\nwe\u2019ve had rainfall all week. While the impact of the lockdown has been felt by\neveryone, it has been more difficult for people who are already without the\nessentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an ADRA team, we knew we had to do\nsomething to help our most vulnerable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ADRA New Zealand office is closed, but\nour work has not stopped. Right now we are mobilising our network of churches\nthroughout the country and are distributing grocery vouchers to help over 1,000\nfamilies who are in need. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In every neighbourhood, including my own,\nthere is always someone in need.&nbsp; I\nbelieve that God has placed us all where we are needed to serve Him.&nbsp; My prayer for the ADRA team and for myself is\nthat God will continue to use us, and whatever we do may we exemplify His\ncharacter in our actions toward others.&nbsp;\nMay we show true love to our neighbours whether at home or around the\nworld!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please continue to support the work of ADRA around the globe during this critical time.
